Ovda air port is not what one might expect from an airport. It is located in the heart of the Negev desert half way between Mitzpe Ramon and Eilat. It is actually situated in an air-force army base and you will not find any trains or rental companies there. There are 5 buses a day that go from Ovda airport to Mitzpe Ramon (sun-Thu). They are an Egged bus, Number 392, and they arrive at Ovdat airport around: 7:00 am, 10:00 am, 14:30, 16:00 and 18:00.
